This project aimed to advance our understanding the process of building for a branded company. By employing the values and aesthetics of my university a biodegradable pen was manufactured with the aim of being sold by the university as a corporate gift. The pen was to be created using a bio-degradable plastic in conjunction with a biodegradable ink that is being adopted by many pen manufacturing companies. The interior structure of the pen could be removed and within the head of the ink well a seed can be placed, a seed of the users choice as the pen is gifted. The pen was designed with the intent for the entire thing to be planted with the seed placed in the inkwell, creating a completely sustainable cycle of a corporate gift.
